10 jaar Dutch IT Channel Awards

Nederland vierde de 10de editie van de Dutch IT Channel Awards bedolven onder Nederlandse vlaggen en schlagers. Er daagden ruim 750 gasten op en die zagen 24 awards de revue passeren. Zo werd TD SYNNEX Distributor of the Year, kreeg Copaco de prijs voor beste security distributor of the year, terwijl Lenovo zich mocht kronen tot hardware innovator of the year.

De jubileumviering stond helemaal in het teken van Nederland, inclusief een wandkast waar je kroket uit de muur kon halen. Zoals altijd boven de moerdijk is elkeen uitgedost in smoking terwijl de vrouwen in galakleed paradeerden. Een vergelijking met het Belgisch gala, dat inmiddels z’n 23^ste editie organiseerde is moeilijk.  “Het is helemaal anders. Het is een verschil in cultuur,” vertelde Nicolas Demeure de oprichter van het Channel Awards gala in het Brusselse. De uitreiking van de awards in Hilversum verliep bijzonder vlot onder leiding van bezieler Witold Kepinski, afgewisseld met soms carnavaleske pretgroepen.
Opvallend ook, geen enkele nominatie voor Microsoft. Heel wat Nederlandse bedrijven kregen wel een prijs. Hieronder de volledige lijst. Er was nog een award toegekend door de redactie van Dutch Channel IT. Die ging naar John Reynders en z’n team Your.Cloud.
