Na bijna zes jaar binnen de organisatie werd hij benoemd tot <strong>Channel Sales Manager EMEA<\/strong> voor Parallels Desktop. Vanuit die nieuwe rol zal hij samenwerken met partners en distributeurs in de volledige EMEA-regio om het channel-ecosysteem van Parallels verder uit te bouwen.<\/p>\n<p>De Pelsmaeker is al jarenlang een bekend gezicht binnen de Belgische IT-channel. Hij startte zijn carri\u00e8re begin jaren 2000 bij <strong>Tech Data<\/strong>, waar hij actief was als security specialist en later <strong>Cisco<\/strong>-accountmanager. Daarna volgde een lange internationale salescarri\u00e8re voor de merken <strong>Seagate<\/strong> en <strong>LaCie<\/strong>, alvorens hij in 2020 de overstap maakte naar het Belgische <strong>Awingu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dat bleek achteraf een strategische zet. Awingu, bekend van zijn browsergebaseerde workspace-platform voor remote werken, werd in 2022 overgenomen door <strong>Corel Corporation<\/strong>, de groep boven onder meer Parallels. Tijdens de coronaperiode groeide Awingu sterk dankzij de explosieve vraag naar veilige thuiswerkoplossingen en werd de technologie geleidelijk ge\u00efntegreerd binnen Parallels.<\/p>\n<p>Vandaag blijft Parallels wereldwijd vooral bekend voor Parallels Desktop, waarmee Windows-omgevingen op Macs kunnen draaien, maar de groep investeert tegelijk verder in hybride werkmodellen, virtualisatie en secure workspace-oplossingen.<\/p>\n<p>Met zijn nieuwe internationale rol krijgt De Pelsmaeker nu een belangrijke positie binnen die verdere channeluitbouw in EMEA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chris De Pelsmaeker zet een mooie volgende stap binnen Parallels.
