Une nouvelle étude montre que les places de marché en ligne sont essentielles à la croissance du secteur des technologies de l’information, avec des avantages significatifs pour les entreprises qui cherchent à élargir leur clientèle et à accroître leur rentabilité.
Pax8, un marketplace pour le cloud-commerce, a publié aujourd’hui à Berlin, lors de son événement EMEA Beyond, les résultats d’une enquête mondiale menée par Channelnomics auprès des fournisseurs de technologies de l’information.
L’enquête se concentre sur les tendances des ventes numériques et sur l’impact croissant des places de marché en ligne sur le réseau informatique. Le rapport, intitulé Digital Sales Evolution in the Channel, montre que 90 % des fournisseurs informatiques s’attendent à ce que les places de marché jouent un rôle croissant dans leur stratégie de vente d’ici 2029. Cela souligne l’importance de ces plateformes en tant que catalyseurs de la croissance et de l’innovation.
Mais pourquoi donc les « places de marché » vont-elles définir l’avenir des ventes ?
Selon l’étude, les vendeurs de technologies de l’information tirent des avantages considérables des places de marché. Ces plateformes offrent non seulement une certaine évolutivité, mais permettent également aux entreprises d’analyser les données des clients afin de créer de nouveaux flux de revenus récurrents. « Les fournisseurs de solutions considèrent les places de marché comme les canaux de vente de l’avenir », a déclaré Ryan Walsh, directeur de la stratégie chez Pax8. « Chez Pax8, nous fournissons une plateforme qui étend les capacités numériques de nos partenaires, leur permettant de faire facilement de la vente incitative, de la vente croisée et d’augmenter leur rentabilité. »

Le rapport montre qu’au niveau mondial, plus d’un tiers des fournisseurs de services informatiques génèrent déjà 20 % de leur chiffre d’affaires grâce aux places de marché. En outre, 87 % des participants s’attendent à une augmentation de l’utilisation de ces plateformes au cours des cinq prochaines années, en particulier en Europe et en Amérique du Nord où l’infrastructure numérique est très développée.
Selon les participants, les trois principaux avantages des places de marché sont les suivants :
Portée et évolutivité – Les places de marché permettent aux fournisseurs de services informatiques d’atteindre un public mondial, ce qui se traduit par une rentabilité accrue, une augmentation de la demande de services professionnels et une meilleure analyse des données relatives aux clients.
Meilleure expérience client – Plus de la moitié des personnes interrogées améliorent leur technologie de vente et étendent leurs services afin d’accroître la satisfaction et la fidélisation des clients.
Adaptation des stratégies de mise sur le marché aux préférences des clients – Les trois quarts des entreprises interrogées sont influencées par les commentaires des clients sur les places de marché, ce qui a un impact direct sur leurs décisions de vente.
Défis et considérations clés
Si les avantages sont évidents, l’utilisation des places de marché doit également tenir compte d’éléments importants. Les vendeurs de technologies de l’information doivent prêter attention aux économies de coûts, à la prise de décision basée sur les données et au choix d’une plateforme conviviale. Le rapport souligne qu’une stratégie efficace en matière de coûts, associée à des décisions de vente fondées sur des données, est cruciale pour une rentabilité évolutive à long terme.

Selon Larry Walsh, PDG et analyste en chef de Channelnomics, les places de marché deviennent de plus en plus importantes pour les fournisseurs de services gérés (MSP). « Les places de marché aident les MSP à s’agrandir, à obtenir des informations précieuses sur les clients et à exploiter de nouvelles sources de revenus. Avec l’évolution des ventes numériques, il est essentiel que les fournisseurs de services informatiques adoptent ces plateformes pour garantir leur croissance et leurs bénéfices à long terme. »
